DMCA & Copyright Reports

StoryNest™ respects the intellectual property of others and expects the same from its users. Use this page to report infringement of your copyrighted work.

01

Our commitment

We take copyright seriously. Where a valid notice is filed, we act promptly to remove or disable access to infringing material, notify the uploader, and — where warranted — apply account-level consequences.

We also protect the legitimate use of public-domain works, licensed content and fair-use commentary. Bogus takedown notices carry consequences too — see § 6.

02

Filing a DMCA notice

If you are the copyright owner (or authorised agent) and believe content on StoryNest™ infringes your work, send a written notice to our designated agent below or via our online form.

03

Required information

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  • URLs or identifiers of the material you claim is infringing.
  • Your contact details — full name, address, phone, email.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner (or authorised to act on behalf of the owner).
  • Your physical or electronic signature.
04

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or a fair use, you may submit a counter-notice that includes:

  • Identification of the removed material and the location it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, phone, email and consent to jurisdiction of a specified court.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and — barring court action within 10–14 business days — restore the content.

05

Repeat-infringer policy

Accounts that receive multiple valid takedown notices are subject to escalating consequences, up to and including permanent termination. We publish an internal “three-strike” standard that our Trust & Safety team applies consistently.

06

Misuse & penalties

Under law, false or knowingly misrepresenting takedown notices can result in liability for damages, including costs and attorney's fees. Please be sure before you file.
